The fruit of Wine

Greetings to all in the name of Jehovah Jireh. I’m so glad to write a traditional article. In it we are going to learn about the important facts and secrets behind in fruit of the wine. You will find some references to this topic throughout the Bible. It’s a one of the major topic in the Bible. Let’s get down to the article Amen!!

The verse about the fruit of the wine is recorded in three books of the Bible. (i) Matt 26:29 (ii) Mark 14:25 (iii) Luk 22:18.

Matt 26:29 Says, “I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the wine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my father’s kingdom”

Mark 14:25 Says, Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God”

Luk 22:18 Says, For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes” Before meditate this topic lets us see under what circumstances Jesus said this verse. Matt 26:19 Says, “So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover”. So it was the days of the New Covenant. Lets discuss how the Jews observe the Passover.Passover is observed to commemorate the redemption from slavery in Egypt. Passover became one of three pilgrimage festivals during which Israelites travelled to Jerusalem to make offerings including the sacrifice of animals at the Temple. They consumed parts of the roasted animal at a family feast. After the destruction of the second temple, animal could no longer be sacrificed, but the practice was remembered through symbols, such as the roasted shank bone placed on the Seder table. The Seder is organized around seven symbolic foods. They include three Matzoth; 4 glasses of wine;
a roasted bone symbolizing the paschal animal sacrificed of the
Temple; a green vegetable for spring; bitter herbs for the bitterness of slavery and for the ancient practice of eating hyssop with the paschal offering; a roasted egg symbolizing a festival sacrifice once made at the Temple; and a mixture of fruit, nuts, spices and wine or vinegar.
Now let’s come to our topic. In the Seder plate cups of wine is important one. These 4 cups are the shadows of prophecy. Each cups has a specific meaning. The fours cups of Passover are a picture of God’s own deliverance from sin and other bondages. In Exo 6:6-8 in which three were four terms used to describe the redemption.

I will bring you out

I will deliver you

 I will redeem you

I will take you to myself

1.    Cup of Kiddush – The cup of Sanctification

According to Exo 6:6,7 The cup of Kiddush represent the term “I will bring you out” Just as God brought Israel out from under the bondages of the Egyptians, He also brings us out of the bondage of sin and death. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God that is our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

2.    Cup of Maggid – The cup of deliverance

According to Exo 6:6,7 it represent the term while the nation of Israel were slaves in Egypt, we too experience deliverance from sin and death Rom 6:20 Says, For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in relationship to righteousness; according to this verse second cup of wine was fulfilled. It is a medieval custom to dip one’s finger in the Seder’s second cup of wine and to remove 16 drops of wine. Besides the ten plagues, the extra six drops correspond to the three prophetic plagues mentioned by the prophet Joel ( Blood, Fire, Smoke).

3.    Cup of Birkat Hamazon – The cup of Redemption

According to Exo 6:6,7 it represent the term “I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments” Father God redeemed the Jewish people for himself. As believers we experienced redemption through Jesus. His blood was shed on the cross as a final atonement as a payment for sins. His arms outstretched on a tree , He gave himself up for us to pay the price that was ours to pay. The one who knew no sin became sin for us and He paid our debts. He took the curse of sin on himself in our place Gal 3:13 Says, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written; cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole”. This cup fulfilled at the cross.

4.    Cup of Hallel – The cup of praise or acceptance

According to Exo 6:6,7 it represent the term “I will take you to myself”. It is the last of the Passover cups that has the Jewish people look toward their acceptance into the kingdom of the Father. As a believer we look forward to the hope that is in our acceptance through Jesus the messiah and how he is our hope and our praise to the glory of God. This cup is expecting to be fulfilled according to Rev 19,20,21. This is a cup of his coming.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Whatever Bible promises are fulfilled. 3 cups of wine fulfilled. The last cup of wine is to be fulfilled. The Jewish people and the bride of Jesus are waiting to be taken away. The whole world is waiting for him to come. So let’s prepare ourselves for him. Jesus the messiah is coming soon. Shalom!!!
